The current wave of AI is moving fast and changing every industry. While the business case for generative AI in music is an obvious one, we do not believe that it should be pursued at the cost of what makes music special - individual human's experiences, love, sorrow, triumph, all distilled into art in the form of albums and singles. It's these experiences, stories and emotions that allow us to connect with an artist's creation.
Music and industry are two words that fundamentally do not belong together. Sure, you can press it into specific shapes and sizes and roll releases off your conveyor belt so that you can capitalise on momentary popularity of a specific trend, vibe or sound. But truly great musicians do not imitate - they innovate.
