The client portal release

Arktide started as file storage built for audio. This release turns it into something bigger: a client portal for the people who deliver audio for a living. Everything between "here's the first mix" and "invoice paid" now happens on one private link.

With this update:

• Clients can comment without creating an account
• Clients can send you their files through an upload link
• Clients can approve tracks, with a permanent record of who signed off and when
• You can put a price on a link, and downloads unlock when the client pays
• Share links show stats and support expiry and passwords

New: Guest comments

Your clients can now leave timestamped comments directly on the waveform without signing up. The first time they comment, they give a name (and optionally an email), and every note they leave is attributed to them from then on.

Guest comments work on every plan. They appear in your project alongside your team's comments, marked with a guest badge.

New: File requests

Reviewing usually starts with the client sending you their files. Now that can happen through Arktide too: enable uploads on a share link and your client can drop stems, sessions, and references straight into the right project, attributed to whoever sent them.

Upload links are write-only. The sender can never browse or download anything through one, and you can set an expiry so intake links don't outlive the job.

New: Approvals

On the Studio plan, clients can approve tracks or request changes right from the share page. Every decision is recorded per track and per version, with who made it and when, and the record is kept even as new versions land.

Your project view shows a rollup of what's approved, so "are we done?" has an answer you can point to.

New: Paywalled delivery

On the Engineer plan, you can set a price on a share link. Your client streams the work and comments freely, and the downloads unlock when they pay.

• Payments go directly to your own Stripe account
• Arktide takes 0% of the payment; only standard Stripe processing fees apply
• When a client pays, they get their own copy of the deliverables in a free Arktide account, so the files they bought are theirs to keep

New: Link controls

Every share link now shows opens, plays, and comments, plus when it was last opened. You can set an expiry date, add a password on paid plans, and reset or revoke a link at any moment.

Updated: Plans

Pricing has been rebuilt around how people actually use Arktide: Artist for bands and artists working on their own material, Engineer for people who deliver audio to clients, and Studio for teams that need approvals and seats. The free plan is unchanged: 1 GB, join any workspace, and your clients never need to pay to review your work.
